Melbourne’s finest rock ‘n’ rollers, The Delta Riggs, have taken the Australian music scene by storm with their debut LP HEX.LOVER.KILLER.

Five years in the making, the album is jam-packed with psychedelic rock tunes and was well worth the wait. You don’t need to take my word for it however, with the debut single Rah Rah Radio receiving accolades from music critics world-wide.

The Riggs are renowned for their D.I.Y. ethic and the album was entirely self-produced by guitarist, Alex ‘Rudi’ Markwell. As a result, HEX.LOVER.KILLER is refreshingly raw, with infectious guitar riffs, punk melodies and bluesy undertones propelling the LP forward. Oozing with 70s rock ‘n’ roll nostalgia and topped off with the unique wails of lead vocalist, Elliott Hammond, the album can be described as nothing less than a sonic gem.

Although the Riggs’ sound has been compared to the likes of The Hives and Jack White, these Melbournians have certainly added their own modern twist to the classic genre.

Following the recent release of the sophomore single off the album, America, the Delta Riggs are currently expanding their cult following on an Australian tour.
