Sydney quartet Palms rounded off 2013 with their brand spankin’ new video for their single ‘Fun Things I’ll Never Do Again’.
In tradition with Palms’ distinct sound, Fun Things I’ll Never Do Again is rife with addictive hooks and infectious lyrics delivered in the nasal wails of frontman, Al. With a reputation for putting on a killer live show, the video captures all the chaos of a Palms gig. Filmed in beautiful grainy black and white, the clip was shot in Sydney’s Brighton Up Bar. Featuring rainfalls of silver confetti, flailing mops of hair and Palms doing what they do best (rocking out, of course), the clip is the perfect side-dish to this smorgasbord of perfected indie pop. Unlike many ‘live show’ film clips, Fun Things I’ll Never Do Again has a refreshingly raw quality to it that acts as a nice change to many of the highly manufactured clips currently floating around.
Fresh off their debut album Step Brothers (released via Spunk Records), Fun Things I’ll Never Do Again embodies everything there is to love about Palms and is the perfect way to kick off the new year.
