Fresh from Australia’s sunshine coast, Major Leagues capped off a stellar year with the release of their debut EP ‘Weird Season’ last week.

Recorded alongside producer Timothy Morrissey plus sound producers Sean Cook and Miro Lackie, Weird Season is a killer fusion of 90s shoegaze and 60s garage-pop musings. An eclectic collection of fuzzy guitars, clanging cymbals and nostalgic songwriting, Weird Season is an undeniable mixed bag of sonic goodies.

The three debut singles off the album – ‘Teen Mums’, ‘Endless Drain’ and ‘Silver Tides’ – have already scored Major Leagues’ some pretty decent accolades from music lovers in their homeland and around the world.

After spending the majority of 2013 on the road, supporting the likes of Beach Fossils, Wild Nothing and The Preatures, we hope the new tunes and new year will open more doors for this quirky quartet to headline some of their own tours.

You can have sneak peek of Weird Season on Sound Cloud or purchase the complete copy off iTunes.
