Little Scout are a Brisbane-based quartet who have perfected their unique and forward-thinking sound on their recently released sophomore album Are You Life.
Self produced and recorded, Are You Life is an assortment of mesmerising melodies and compelling vocal arrangements driven by a concoction of bluesy and indie pop melodies.
A standout from the album would have to be Go Quietly. Although soaked with their signature sickly-sweet vocals, this track definitely embodies a darker vibe. With distorted bass and ethereal guitar riffs, Go Quietly is a flawless fusion of brooding indie pop. March Over To Me is another killer track off the album. A bit more upbeat than the former, this track is fuelled by an insanely catchy chorus and reverb-ridden guitar riffs.
Mixed by Lars Stalfors (Deap Vally, The Mars Volta), Are You Life is a rare find and definitely not one to pass up.
