After the MMOSS breakup last spring, guitarist Doug Tuttle started working on a solo career, composing a bunch of songs that will flow into an upcoming debut album.

Out via TroubleInMind on January 28, Doug Tuttle self-titled record was preceded by the lysergic vibrations of Turn This love: a compendium of what we should expect from this six-string proficient. This first single is a psych-pop track that turns into a hazy jam, filled with tons of long-sustained organ sounds and acid guitar effects. The splashing cymbals give the tune a dreamy and shaman-likely atmosphere that strongly reminds of some typical 60s stereotypes, merging the tones of the track with a morphine-flavoured drum pattern.

At first, this single reveals the foggy soundscapes the guitarist is so used to. Indeed, it’s hard to avoid some kind of bittersweet impressions while listening to such an example of well-played psychedelia.

This east coast native artist has a soft and warm-hearted way of singing, that combines the hippie gentle melodies with hardly reverberated sound effects. This way we can obviously feel the airy voices turning into a background element, merged in a continuous stream of pleasant acid waves.

Looking forward to hear more from the eleven-track solo debut, Turn This Love shows the high potential of this musician.
