The London based quartet has been on the spot since 2011 but it was this year that they started making more noise.

They’ve been preparing their audience for a while now, releasing an EP back in July along with some remixes. Last month they officially dropped the first single “Grand Union” (as well as a video) of their self-produced debut album Working Out.

The name Arthur Beatrice is an attempt to “reflect the two genders in the band,” since Ella Girardot and Orlando Leopard take turns on the microphone. In “Midland” Ella’s dreamy voice dominates, contrasting with somber lyrics and funky touches provided by the Barnes brothers, Hamish and Elliot.

Having taken their time to record, the awaited album will be ready for January 14th through their own label Open Assembly Recordings, licensed to Polydor.
