The duo consisting of songwriter Ann Yu and DJ producer Jon Waters just released their second album “Touch” on Twentyseven Records. Yu has an impressive background and has worked with prominent names such as Jose Gonzalez, The Radio Dept and La Roux. Waters’ resume is not less impressive, having DJed and produced in a number of countries all over the world. Their musical love child Silver Swans is a successful fusion of their respective backgrounds, however still keeping their personal point of view intact.
Silver Swans uses the words “idealistic and unrealistic” to describe their music and their dreamy, soft sound with outstanding beats does create an own microverse of synth pop. Yu’s soothing yet intriguing voice makes the lyrics sound bold and obvious.
