Australian four-piece Cloud Control is ready to return with their second LP Dream Cave – out this fall. Dojo Rising is the first taste from it and it sounds like the band has traded their hippie era inspired indie-folk for a darker sound with a slight touch of electronica. Opening with lyrics I could beat myself down, You don’t need to bother, Alister Wright tells a story of a failed relationship for which apparently he’s the one to blame. Wrapped up in warm guitar riffs, clockwork drumming and scrumptious electronic beats it’s a definite step forward for these guys.
